The Elk Grove Montessori School has been operating in the present location since 1991.  We are very proud of our long history with the Elk Grove Community.

Our staff members are individuals who aspire to provide a quality program of early childhood education within a loving, nurturing environment. Our Lead Teachers all hold certificates from recognized Montessori Training organizations, either the American Montessori Society (AMS) or National Center for Montessori Education (NCME), as well as college Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required by the state licensing board. Classroom assistants also hold ECE units and work closely with the Lead Teachers. Academic and operational needs of this facility are overseen by the Director, Rosalie Navin, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Montessori teaching credential along with more than 20 years experience in early childhood education.

Rosalie Navin Executive Director of Elk Grove Montessori LLC , has over 20 years working with the Montessori philosophy, instructing in various capacities from toddler through first grade age. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelors Degree in Child Development, through California State University, Sacramento. She is also NCME (National Center for Montessori Education) certified in California. Rosalie also holds a National Administrators Credential awarded by the National Child Care Association. Rosalie has worked with Montessori Learning Commons, Inc. since 1988 in many capacities, including Managing Director for Elk Grove Montessori School and the McClatchy Child Development Center. She has also been a teacher with the California Montessori Project, a Montessori Charter School in Elk Grove; teaching kindergarten and first grade children. Rosalie has been twice nominated for Child Care Provider of the Year by the Sacramento County Child Care Coalition.
